Hand in Hand

Hand-in-Hand is an organization that works throughout Israel to educate Jews and Arabs and build peace through understanding. They want to create a shared society where Jews and Arabs learn together and live together. So far, they have five schools in Israel and have over 1,100 students and 3,000 community members. Their goal over the next decade is to increase their student enrollment to 20,000 in order to help build a sustainable peace in the region.

Mission Statement: The mission of Hand in Hand is to create a strong, inclusive, shared society in Israel through a network of Jewish-Arab integrated bilingual schools and organized communities.

Our Connection

Board Discretionary Grant. The Skees Family Foundation began working with Hand-in-Hand in 2015. We love the idea that they have to educate together in order to build understanding and compassion in a conflict-ridden area. We look forward to working with them and helping them with their decade-long goal.
