Femmes et Education des Adultes, or FEDA, provides access to education and income generation to women and girls who were mostly denied such opportunities due to local conflict. They use literacy education and vocational training programs to overcome illiteracy, violence, and extreme poverty. FEDA believes in equal rights, equal treatment, and equal opportunity for women and girls without discrimination based on origin, religion, ethnicity, or beliefs.

Mission Statement: FEDA is heightening social awareness, promoting female literacy and increasing poorest girls school enrollment, self-confidence, and personality development, promoting gender equity, women’s rights, women’s social and economic empowerment, and the status of women in the community, promoting health and environment through education, enabling educational equality, decision-making, and leadership, and building peace.

Our Connection:

Family Discretionary Grant. The Skees Family Foundation began working with FEDA in 2016. They were such a small organization founded in a conflict-ridden area, working to better their children through education. We are excited to see what they are able to do in the upcoming years.
